7-9 Mar HeliExpo 2017 took place in Dallas, TX (USA). It is the greatest international helicopter show where helicopter industry companies from all over the world participate.  

Robinson Helicopter Company presented two helicopters at its main booth - R44 Raven II and R66 Turbine. R44 Cadet and R44 Police were presented at supplementary booth.

Also RHC demonstrated its innovative options – Aux Fuel Tank (certified in Russia in March 2017) and Inlet Barrier Filter manufactured specially for R66 helicopters by Donaldson Aerospace & Defense.  Barrier Filter provides
added protection for engines operating in dusty environments.

Airbus Helicopters represented H125, H130, H135 with innovative avionics Helionix and H145.

Leonardo Company (formerly Agusta Westland) represented helicopters AW119Kx, AW169 and AW189. The manufacturer continues its work with leading family of Leonardo helicopters and is looking for new markets for AW139 arranging demo flights for flight characteristics confirmation on high altitude. Moreover, Leonardo helicopters starting AW139 will be equipped with enhanced flight vision system Heli-ClearVision.

Bell Helicopter announced about start of new helicopter Bell 505 JetRanger X delivery. First aircraft was received by a private customer. Along with 505 model Bell Helicopter also represented a concept of next-generation passenger helicopter with hybrid power plant. Its project name is FCX-001.

Notably that Heli-Expo 2017 paid attention to age-related helicopter models. They demonstrated some models of Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk, transformed for civil use from military sample. Exhibition visitors admired demonstration of Mi-24D manufactured in Russia that was in airworthy condition.

Apart from helicopters many different types of helicopter equipment were represented at the show., including handling equipment, EMS, engines, spare parts.

Spidertracks from New Zealand celebrated its 10th anniversary and announced about its intention to extend products line used for flight control. At the moment Spidertracks develops software for modern tracking systems of the company (Virtual Flight Data Recorder).

Lightspeed Aviation represented new model of aviation headsets - Zulu 3 with active system of noise reduction. Headsets are delivered in 3 available options – GA pin, LEMO pin and standard U-174 pin.

US manufacturer of procedure simulators Redbird Flight Simulations presented training device with the motion system for training of hovering. The simulator imitates R22 cabin but can be upgraded to R44 and R66.

HELIATICA for the first time represented its development – universal mid-mounted complex for aerial and monitoring for light helicopters Robinson R44 and R66, Bell 206 and 407, Airbus Helicopters H120, H125, H130, AS350 and AS355.

Heli-Expo 2018 will take place in Las Vegas and opens on 28 Feb 2018.
