Robinson R44 Clipper II

The Robinson R44 Clipper II helicopter model can be ordered in one of the following variants: with a fixed float landing gear or with an emergency landing gear. The weight of an empty Clipper II vehicle with a fixed float landing system increases by approximately 23 kg. At the same time, the cruising speed is reduced by only 10 knots (18.5 km/h). In the variant of a helicopter with an emergency landing gear, its weight increases by 27 kg with virtually no reduction in cruising speed.

The low center of gravity of the Clipper II aircraft improves stability during strong water waves, and the modern design of the floats ensures safety when taking off from the water surface.

Unlike some emergency landing systems, the floats for the R44 Clipper II helicopter can stay on the surface of the water as well as fixed landing gear. To prevent the impact of moisture on the design of the helicopter, all models of the P44 Clipper 2 have corrosion protection.

Standard equipment includes removable wheels for moving on the ground and a pressure gauge for checking the pressure in the floats.

The Clipper 2 rotorcraft in the version with a fixed landing gear is preferable for long flights over water and landings on remote lakes. This model is safer when flying over busy ports.
